Operational Policy: Selch moved to approve policy as is, Daniels seconded and it was approved unanimously.
Old Business:
Board Self Evaluation: Waters moved to approve final Board Self Evaluation, Daniels seconded, and it was approved unanimously.
North Liberty Community Fund: The board will address questions and concerns at the next meeting.
Expansion Steering Committee: The Committee had three meetings last month. Two fundraisers and two architects were interviewed. The Committee will recommend to the City Council that Renaissance be the fundraiser because: (1) they are hands on; (2) we have two prior successful experiences with them; and (3) their bid was $30,000 less. The Committee will recommend that Neumann Monson be the architect because: (1) they built the current library; (2) they will reach our goals less expensively. These recommendations will be made on October 16 at 6:30 p.m. and board members are encouraged to attend. The fundraiser needs $21,000 up front and we currently have $14,000.
New Business:
Director’s Evaluation: Selch moved to approve the Director’s Evaluation form and is, Waters seconded and it was approved unanimously.
Trustee Training Committee: Waters will look over the trustee training manual and update links, etc.
ILA Annual Conference: This year’s conference will be held in Coralville, October 10-12. Email Jennie if you would like to go and she will register you. Waters, Selch and Irving are considering attending.
Adjournment:
Daniels moved to adjourn, Waters seconded and the meeting was adjourned at 7:49 p.m.
