Storytime Policy

The Youth and Teen Services/Assistant Youth and Teen Services Librarians will choose books, crafts and other activities for storytime, in keeping with the Library’s selection policy.   This policy states, in part, that the Library will serve a variety of interests and preferences in the community with a wide selection of materials.

 The themes of the programs will be published in the local papers, on the local cable channel, on the City and Library web pages and in the Library.  On most occasions, the day’s selection will be available to the public for reading in the Library two days prior to Storytime.

Storytime is taped and broadcast on the local access channel at various times.

Suggestions for books and activities for future storytimes are always welcome and may be offered to the Youth and Teen Services/Assistant Youth and Teen Services Librarians, assistant director or director.   These suggestions will be used at the discretion of the Youth and Teen Services/Assistant Youth and Teen Services Librarians.

An adult must accompany preschool children.
