Kids can use our computers, too!Using on of the NLCL computers

Computing at the NLCL - free internet and software use and more!

Library patrons can sign up to use one of our internet-connected computers for one-hour increments. Everyone is welcome to bring their laptop computer to the library and hop on our free wireless network as well.

When accessing the internet in the NLCL, you are required to abide by the Internet Policy.

For those who wish to come to utilize wireless internet access in the library, please keep in mind that information sent and received via wireless communication may not be secure.

Internet access in the North Liberty Community Library is generously provided by South Slope Communications Cooperative. Neither the library nor South Slope guarantees minimum access speeds. Please ask at the circulation desk or email the library's Technology Services Librarian,, Janet Lubben, at jlubben@north-liberty.lib.ia.us if you have any questions about accessing the internet at the NLCL.

The personal computing stations in the library may be reserved by patrons for personal, academic or business use. In addition to internet access, we offer a variety of software applications for your convenience, including Microsoft Office products (including PowerPoint), instant-messaging clients and more. Please note that not all software applications are available on all computers. Be sure to indicate your software needs to an NLCL staff member when you reserve time on a computer.

Printing from any of our computers costs $.10 per page.

One-on-one computer training is available free of charge for our patrons, but must be arranged in advance. Please contact the library for more information.
